Georges Charpak : 1924 - 2010

Georges Charpak, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics 1992, was a former Professor with the LEG (Electrical engineering laboratory) at ESPCI ParisTech. His death on September 29, 2010 saddened the entire community. A solemn tribute was paid at the meeting of the Board of Directors on September 30 by Jean-Louis Missika and Jacques Prost, the School’s President and Director, joined by all the researchers, faculty, graduates, students and staff, in expressing their sincere condolences to his family and friends.
